5 May 2026 – Italian cinema evening in The Hague
IPN Cultura, the cultural branch of Italian Professionals Netherlands, is delighted to present a new event in the “ Frames of Italy” programme: an Italian film preview screening taking place on 5 May at 19:00 at Pathé Buitenhof cinema in The Hague. The film is “Tre ciotole” (Three Goodbyes), directed by Isabel Coixet and based on the bestselling novel by Michela Murgia. Presented at major international festivals, the film is a powerful contemporary drama exploring themes of love, time, and loss.
Set in Rome, the film follows Marta and Antonio, a couple whose relationship suddenly comes to an end. While Antonio immerses himself in work, Marta goes through a profound personal crisis intertwined with an unexpected medical diagnosis, leading her to reconsider the meaning of her life and the time she has left.
“Tre ciotole” is a delicate and moving reflection on what it truly means to live when we become aware of the fragility of things and the possibility of losing them.

After the screening, there will be a short informal discussion on the themes of the film, moderated by IPN Cultura. For those who wish to stay, it will also be possible to meet the team at the cinema bar for a social gathering.
